Field note 01
Set the worker. Keep the org chart.
Why configurable roles, mandates, and ownership matter more than a fixed roster of AI assistants.
A worker is more than a prompt
A useful AI worker needs more than a name and a prompt. It needs a role, an accountable owner, a bounded mandate, a schedule, a budget, and an explicit set of capabilities.
Configuration is the operating contract
That configuration should match the operation, not a software vendor's fixed org chart. Teams define the supported roles they need, then decide which tools and data each one can use and which actions require a person to review them.
Current availability
LumeGrid is in private development. The underlying role and mandate system exists, while the fully self-serve customer path for arbitrary tenant-created roles is still being verified end to end.
