Field note 02
Proof should travel with every AI action
The useful unit of AI governance is not a dashboard entry. It is evidence bound to the action and outcome.
A log is not lineage
A log can say that something happened. A useful evidence record should also connect the instruction, worker identity, authority, policy decision, human approval where required, execution, and result.
Proof must cross integration boundaries
That connected trail matters when AI work crosses models and tools. Without it, accountability breaks at every integration boundary and the final outcome is difficult to explain.
Use precise cryptographic claims
Operational receipts are tamper-evident and linked. Cryptographic signatures protect signed approvals and document and evidence flows. Those are different controls; it would be inaccurate to describe all actions as signed the same way.
